Here are some ways I use this set of poems in my pre-k classroom:

✅Shared Reading: We echo read and choral read all week long. My kids love using my pointers to point to the words as we read!
✅Letter Hunts: We use sticky notes, wax sticks, or highlighter tape to hunt for letters in each poem.
✅Phonological Awareness: We find rhyming words, clap syllables, count words, and find beginning sounds using the words in the poems.
✅Centers: My kids hunt for letters and practice reading independently in centers.
✅Poetry Folders: My kids highlight different letters on their own black & white copy. Then we add them to our poetry folders.
